Teacher Leader Development Summit
Feb. 16, 2019
9am-12pm
KMPC
Teachers across Klein ISD will soon have the opportunity to reflect and learn experiences to accelerate their leadership development. The second Teacher Leadership Summit will be held at the Klein Multipurpose Center on February 16, 2019. This summit is open to any teacher who want tools, resources, and innovative opportunities to effectively serve as leaders on their campuses.Personalization with Thrively
Wednesday 1/30/19 Klein ISD is hosting a training over the new personalization website called Thrively. The founder and CEO will be attending as well, so we would really like to have a good turnout. Right now we only have 8 people registered. Even if you or another teacher already has their update hours, these hours still count for SBE and exchange days. This program is something to use for extension, enrichment, and even research. Please be sure to spread the word if you haven’t yet, so that we can make sure our teachers are taking advantage of opportunities like this for growth and learning. Thank you for all you do!

Safety and Security: Front Doors Locked
In approximately 6-8 weeks we will have not just one but three keyless entry doors at DOerre!!! There will be one in front, one by the cafe and one by the T buildings!!! Until they arrive we need to just "make it work!"
Here is what you can expect:
Mrs. Edgar will be in the cafe each morning at 7am to let anyone needing in before 8 into the building. There will be someone in the front office to help with entry in the front of the building beginning at 7:45 each day. There are to be no students allowed into the building before 8 AM without a specific pass or without an adult meeting them at the door. So,if you have students coming early, get them used to holding onto a pass that will state what days they have permission to be in the building and who will be supervising them/what room they are to report to. Be sure to tell them where they can enter the building. Now, if you already have a key....nothing changes, just let yourself in like normal...but please DO Not let a student in unless they have a specific pass or are with you until 8 am. Please do not let someone come to you at 7:30 and then release them at 7:45 if they finish early. You are responsible for them until 8.

Imagine the things our community can accomplish when everyone comes together and works towards a common goal.
~Klein Cain Culture4Caring Student Director Brayden Espinosa (You can read the whole awesome post here.)
