STARS Classroom News

January 11 - January 15

What Happened Last Week!!

Last week we started our new winter theme. Our book was The Mitten. We worked on labeling/identifying the animals in the book. We also worked on sequencing the story.

What Will Happen This Week!!

We will continue our winter theme. We will continue our anchor book The Mitten. We will continue to label/identify the animals in the story and to sequence it. The students will be working on answering questions about the story and about the differences/similarities of the animals in the story.

Matt and Molly

Molly Makes a Snowman: We will continue our Matt and Molly story. Molly dresses the snowman with a mittens, scarf, and hat. Matt walks by and is cold. He gets an idea and puts on the mittens, scarf and hat to stay warm. We will be learning about the things we need to wear to keep warm when it's cold outside. We will be working on answering questions about the story.

At home you can be teaching your children to put on their own mittens, hat, and scarf.
