Newsletter Week of May 1, 2023

Dear Nashoba Regional High School Community,

I hope this message finds you doing well. Happy first day of May, although the weather looks to be fairly rainy this week. Today begins two full weeks of AP testing for our students. There will be no daily announcements over the intercom to reduce disturbances.

We had a series of class meetings with our students last week that communicated our expectations for behavior during school and at school sponsored events for the remainder of the year as well as general expectations about good decision making. We want to ensure a positive and successful end to the 2022-23 school year.

The international Club held a very successful and hopefully first annual International Fest on Saturday. See below for some pictures from the event!

Graduation Ticket Orders are due this week for seniors.

Geothermal test well drilling

As part of the building project, we have a drilling contractor coming this week to drill holes for geothermal test wells. There will be heavy drill equipment in front of the school in two locations over the course of a few days this week and next week. While the drilling will be loud, the distance from the building will allow for minimal impact on student learning. Students and staff could experience some very low vibrations. At one drill location several staff parking spots will be temporarily cordoned off. Upon completion, the wells will be capped.

Have a great week!

Sincerely,

Dr. Kate Boynton, principal
