"Nothing's wrong; it's just hard."
This week I read a blog post by Bunmi Latidan. She's one of many mommy bloggers, only Bunmi tends to take a more honest and real look at life. In the post she highlights a number of ways in which she feels like things aren't going the way she wants them to. And after each thing she mentions she writes, "Nothing's wrong; it's just hard."
I've had this running through my head this week. I've tried to remember it as I've faced difficult or stressful moments. It's been a nice reminder that even when it feels like everything is going off the rails, it's not necessarily wrong. I'm not necessarily wrong. The moment isn't necessarily wrong. Maybe it's just really hard.
It's not hard for me to imagine God whispering that to me. Reminding me that while some moments of my days feel really, really wrong--and maybe sometimes things have gone wrong--most of the time it's probably just hard. And at the same time God is there reminding me that at those moments when I feel like something about me is really wrong, I can remember that what's more likely is that I'm experiencing something hard.
My prayer for you this week is that you would know that even when everything feels like it's gone wrong, God is there in the midst of that, telling you over and over again, "you are worthy, you are valued, you are not wrong, you are beloved."
As always, if you ever need to to chat or pray, stop by and see me! My door is always open to you!
Blessings,
Nadia

Harvesters Christian Fellowship Group -- Fridays at 6 pm
Iron Sharpens Iron.
Harvesters is intended to build community among Christians at Nazareth College. In fellowship, we encourage and sharpen one another in our constant pursuit of intimacy with God. We are called to ‘harvest the field’ that God has placed us in. By responding to this call with passionate worship, prayer, and service, we strive to bring revival and unity to our campus and beyond. Ultimately, our vision is to be our generation’s demonstration of an Acts church - a growing and maturing body of believers living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We meet every Friday starting Friday September 1st in the GAC Community Room (first floor). Our time together consists of prayer, worship, and a study of scripture. If you enjoy pizza, ping pong, and healthy discussion, come join us! All are welcome.
"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." - Matthew 9:37
"Don't you have a saying, 'It's still four months until harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." - John 4:35
