Scholarships
The Lauren A. Davies Memorial Scholarship
The Lauren A. Davies Memorial Scholarship is being awarded to any graduating senior who has overcome significant challenges with courage and determination to further his/her education.The applicant must meet the following criteria:1. Must be a senior in high school, whose plans include advanced education through college, business, nursing, technical training or a similar program
2. Must be a physically challenged student with an acute or chronic healthproblem (physical, neurological, mental, visual, hearing, speech impaired disorder), a physical disability or impairment caused by disease or other causes. (Impairment would include epilepsy, diabetes, etc.)
3. Should possess good character, described by two letters of recommendation,one each from a guidance counselor and a teacher.

ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS: Dates Extended
Applications can be found on the VHSL website home page under About VHSL and in the drop down menu Scholarships https://www.vhsl.org/scholarships/. The application forms are located in Resources.
Allstate-VHSL Achievement Award – Nineteen $1,500 scholarships will be awarded during the school year, honoring one male athlete, one female athlete and one academic activities participant in each of the VHSL’s group classifications plus one student from any group who has overcome incredible odds to make significant contributions to athletic and/or academic activities. Only students graduating during the school year will be eligible for the awards.
Deadline extended to April 16th!!!
Vito E. Perriello Citizenship Award – This program will offer two $1,000 scholarships for graduating seniors wishing to further their education in medicine or an allied health field at an institution of higher learning, including universities, colleges and trade schools.
Deadline for receipt is April 2nd, 2021
Local Scholarship: Falmouth High School Alumni Association
Bill Bolton Scholarship Fund 2021
Eligible: You must be a direct descendant of a person who attended Falmouth High School between 1931-1956.

2021 College Undergraduate Scholarship Emerson Morgan Scholarship Delmarva Chicken Association
2021 College Undergraduate Scholarship Emerson Morgan Scholarship Delmarva Chicken Association offers scholarships to students pursuing careers in the chicken community.
$2000.00
Eligibility and Requirements: Must plan a career that could include working with chickens. A complete transcript must accompany the application, and proof of college acceptance is required.

Fredericksburg Area Builders Foundation/The Steigleder Family Scholarship Fund
$3,000-$6500, renewable each year.
Eligible:
Must be accepted and plan to attend the University of Richmond Fall 2021

The Steigleder Family Scholarship Fund was established in 1998 by a past president of the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association. This scholarship is ONLY available to students from the Fredericksburg Area (Caroline County, City of Fredericksburg, Culpeper County, King George County, Orange County, Spotsylvania County, and Stafford County) with preference given to residents of Caroline County, Virginia. It is also preferred, but not required, that the student plan to pursue a degree in a building industry related field.
Deadline: April 15, 2021.
Local Scholarship: Caroline County Agriculture
Caroline County Agricultural Fair Continued Education Scholarship
$500 [five-hundred dollars]
Eligible: graduating high school senior of Caroline High School who is pursuing further studies in one of the following vocational technical (vo-tech) fields: agriculture, automotive technology, carpentry, cosmetology, culinary arts, nursing, or sports medicine.
Conditions of the Scholarship:
• The scholarship money is to be used for tuition. • Payment will be made directly to the institution by the Fair Association. • Scholarship money must be used within one year of issuance of the award.

Norfolk State University
The Central VA chapter of Norfolk State University Alumni Association (CVC NSUAA) is currently accepting applications for two (2) $1000 scholarships for incoming freshmen with at least a 2.75 GPA and demonstrated financial need and two (2) $500 scholarships for current NSU students with at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need.
Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by April 16, 2021!

Local Scholarship: The Betty J. Hunter Bazemore Scholarship:
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
● Must be a resident of the counties of Spotsylvania, Caroline, Culpeper, King George, Orange, Stafford and the City of Fredericksburg, VA.
● Must be actively involved in your church ministries and or community service. (i.e. volunteering at the hospital, non-profit organizations, feeding the homeless) Need to provide proof and information needs to be verifiable. *Applications that are incomplete or not prepared according to directions will not be reviewed. High School Applicants
● Must be graduating from an accredited secondary educational institution
● Must have applied and received admissions to a technical school, junior college, four year college/university (copy of admissions letter will need to be provided) • Acceptance letter from the university that you plan to attend
● Must have a 2.5 or higher GPA (official transcript should be sealed from High School).
● Three (3) letters of recommendations (only one letter will be accepted from a family member).

AOC Dahlgren Roost Scholarship Program
$1000
The Dahlgren Chapter of the Association of Old Crows has initiated a scholarship program to encourage high school seniors to pursue a college career in areas related to electronic defense.
Eligibility:
Scholarships will be awarded to selected local high school students who plan to pursue a college education in one of the math, hard sciences, or engineering fields associated with careers in electronic defense and related professions.
Students must be 1) a current Dahlgren Chapter AOC member, 2) a family member of a Dahlgren Chapter AOC Member, or 3) nominated by any Dahlgren Chapter AOC Member.

JA Future Laureate Scholarship
JA of Central VA is awarding an unspecified number of $2,500 scholarships to deserving high school students!
This competition is open to students in the graduating classes of 2022 and 2023 (sophomores and juniors) who have participated in a JA program since 9/3/19.

Volunteer Service Hours Opportunity: Caroline Little League
Hello Caroline High School! Caroline Little League Spring season is underway and we love to give out volunteer hours! Games are scheduled for week nights and Saturdays, and occasionally we host Sunday tournaments. A finalized schedule will be coming soon. Our concession stand could use your help! The duties include:
Running the register
Handling correct food orders
Simple cleaning (wipe down counters, sweep)
Trash pick up
A board member (adult) is always present and can guide any volunteers.
