CtR is STREAMing
into our inaugural year!
What is S.T.R.E.A.M.?
STREAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Math education. We focus on these areas not in isolation, but in an interdisciplinary hands on approach that provides students with learning relevant to the world around them. It is about the joy of discovery! S.T.R.E.A.M. education at CtR means everything we do is grounded in our Catholic identity as we foster an environment of inquiry, critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and compassion that will help prepare our students for the world they will encounter when they graduate.

Tuesday: Field Trip to Children's Museum
All students will be attending a school-wide S.T.R.E.A.M. based field trip to the Children's Museum in Houston. Students will engage in hands on activities that help develop their skills in critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration and compassion.
Wednesday: Focus on Religion
Join us for mass at 8:30 in the church and then stay around as the students learn a little more about our church. Students will rotate through stations as they learn more about the altar, the sacristy, the cornerstone and the stained glass. They will then head back to their classrooms and build an altar out of paper that supports a chalice or design a stained glass window that represents a story in the Bible.
Thursday: CtR's Technology at Work
Newly registered students and their parents will be invited to tour the school and see what students are doing with the technology at CtR. They may see students writing code, making videos, drawing pictures using Google Draw or playing on an app that will enhance their learning. The possibilities are endless it will be fun to see what the teachers come up with!
Friday: Mad Scientist comes to CtR!
All students will see a fun and exciting "Fire and Ice" demonstration in the morning and then they will get to break into smaller groups and work on hands on science fun in the afternoon! Parents are invited to stay and watch the "Fire and Ice" demonstration after morning assembly!
