Pluto
Sydney
Hi my name is Sydney. I am doing a project for writing and I chose to research Pluto because I wanted to learn more about Pluto . I am in 4th grade and I am 10 years old. I go to the school Van Meter Elementary.
Why is Pluto no longer a planet ?
: It is smaller than any other planet even the Earth's moon.
: It doesn't meet the necessary requirements needed to be a planet.
: It hasn't cleared the neighborhood of its orbits.
: Pluto didn't meet its 3rd criteria.
Pluto met every other standard except one important one.
What is Pluto ?
: The tiny planet is made of ice.
: Pluto's color is actually brown.
: Pluto is 4.5 billion years old.
: The sun is 2.757 billion miles from Pluto.
: Pluto is now considered a dwarf planet.
Some fun facts about Pluto !
: One way scientist study Pluto is by a telescope.
: Another way to study Pluto is to fly a rocket.
: A fact is it takes about 9 years to go in a rocket to get to Pluto.
: The suns heat just barely reaches Pluto.
: Because of its size it's rare that we will live there someday.
