CAPE Education All Star
The CAPE committee is privileged to host the annual Employee banquet which honors our retirees, service year staff and our All Stars. We would like you to consider nominating a staff member in your building; we know you work with many who are "All Stars". A list of previous All Stars and a nomination form are posted in the lounge and media work room.
First, look at the list of previous educational All Stars as they cannot be nominated again.
Second, read through the All Star application, answering all questions, adding examples and including supervisor comments which are essential for the application, or it will NOT be reviewed. Third, submit the application to Judy Laabs-Foss, CAPE chairperson at Middleton Elementary by Monday, March 30 at 4:00 P.M.
If you have any questions, please ask Florine, your CAPE representative.

Some of you ask ~ What is a District #833 All Star? It is that individual who goes above and beyond their current duties and employment responsibilities with no special compensation except in the satisfaction they are making a difference. District #833 All Stars have included our administration, administrative assistants, bus drivers, custodial staff, facilities staff, nutrition staff, paraprofessionals, payroll managers, physical therapists, principals, school counselors, school psychologists, school social workers, secretaries, speech/language clinicians, teachers, technology department staff and others.
ALL STARS are described as "effective communicators and advocates for the needs of students, extremely compassionate, generous givers of their time and talents, and have a positive and encouraging attitude that is contagious with staff and students, etc.". They organize various fundraisers, submit grants to develop a curriculum on disability awareness, create special opportunities for students to give back to the community, and the list goes on and on. The most important theme woven through each of our All Star's profiles is that they strive to create a positive environment in their employments.

Thank you for considering submitting an All Star Nomination Form this year!

Crestview Math Night
Crestview is having a family math night on Thursday April 30th 5-6:30pm. Students will participate in a number of math activities and fill out a passport along the way. A completed passport is their ticket for pizza with their family. We will be using the Crestview classrooms. There will also be raffle prizes. We are looking for volunteers to supervise the activities and dinner! Please see Amanda or Danny if you are willing to help that evening. We will be sending out information to families soon. Please let us know if you have questions. Looking forward to a wonderful first math night! Thank you for your support.
