Campus Initiatives
Our campus initiatives will be driven by the Plano ISD Strategic Plan. During your PLC meetings, conversations about student learning and lesson planning will be guided by the Collaborative Framework. This framework was first shared with department chairs and team leaders back in July. At the core, we need to know where students are academically and socially. Once we have personal and historic academic information, we can ask the following to guide our collaborative meeting/PLC:
- What do we want the students to know?
- How will we know when students are learning?
- How will we respond when students have not mastered the material?
- How will we enrich and extend the learning for students who are proficient?
- How will we increase our instructional competence?
Those five essential questions will move kids from "fair to good" and from "good to great."
Student Assmebly
We will meet with students beginning on Tuesday, August 20, in small groups to go over campus expectations. We will utilize the Targeted Intervention time frame (1:07-1:34) to meet with students. A final schedule will be completed and shared with you on Monday afternoon.
Student Tardies
Please do not send a student to the attendance office if they are tardy to class. Admit students in class and mark them tardy. Students with three or more tardies will be marked absent by our attendance specialist.
Share your Ideas
What will your team do to support student learning during Targeted Intervention (1:09-1:34)? Please share your plan on the Google Form so all can see. This may help teams and departments maximize this time with our most needy learner. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vaB-8WPL-0tWSg0PFjazRSTAVWT1gtbH0YIFRBK8k-s/edit?usp=sharing
