Bluex2! Indoor Track Sweeps State Championship Titles!


Hewitt-Trussville capped the Track and Field Indoor season by bringing two blue maps back to Trussville! This is the first championship in school history for the Boys and the second Indoor title for the Girls, with the first coming in 1999.


The HT Girls beat Hoover by 1/2 point in one of the most exciting team competitions in state history, and the Boys finished 4.5 points ahead of Vestavia Hills.


Julian Collins led the way for the Boys as their top point scorer by winning both the Long Jump (state record of 24-7.25) and the Triple Jump (49-0). Armoni Goodwin won the 60m and set the 7A state record with a time of 6.82.


Kelsey Martin was dominant for the Girls team and was their top point scorer. Martin won both the Long Jump (18-4) and Triple Jump (38-6.75), and she was 2nd in the 400m (57.30). Lea Townsend won the shot put with a throw of 42-3.5 and narrowly missed the state record. Maci Mills was the second highest point scorer for the Girls and finished 2nd in the 1600m (5:10.86) and 3rd in the 800m (2:15.20). Girls Basketball Hosts Area Semifinal Tuesday Night


Hewitt-Trussville Girls Basketball will host Spain Park Tuesday night at 6pm in the Semifinal round of the 7A Area 6 Tournament. Doors to Bryant Bank Arena will open at 5pm

Boys Basketball Opens Area Tournament Wednesday


The Hewitt-Trussville Boys Basketball team will travel to Vestavia Hills on Wednesday at 6pm to open the 7A Area 6 Tournament.

HT Wrestling Set for State Tournament


Hewitt-Trussville Wrestling will travel to Bill Harris Arena at the Birmingham Crossplex Friday and Saturday for the 7A State Tournament. The Huskies enjoyed an outstanding regular season compiling a 22-6 overall record.

Boys Soccer Wins a Pair on Opening Weekend


Hewitt-Trussville Boys Soccer won two games over 7A opponents on the opening weekend of the season. After falling to Albertville 3-2, the Huskies defeated Bob Jones 3-1. Landon Surratt scored twice and Bailey Harris added a goal. HT then topped Grissom 2-1. Danie Cosby and Parker Green had goals.

Hewitt-Trussville Girls Soccer will travel to Mountain Brook for a match Tuesday night. The Huskies opened the season last Friday with a 0-0 draw against Thompson.
