Loudoun Community Cabinet Grants $160K in Covid Relief Funding
The newly formed Loudoun Community Cabinet announced the recipients of an inaugural grant cycle, awarding three Loudoun-based nonprofits $160,000 in COVID-19 relief funding: ECHO, Loudoun Literacy Council, and Volunteers of America Chesapeake and Carolinas for the Loudoun Homeless Services Center. Loudoun Serenity House Opens New Sober Living Facility for Women
This month Loudoun Serenity House opened Loudoun's first sober living facility for women. Over the last two years, the Community Foundation served as fiscal sponsor to Loudoun Serenity House as its founder Melissa Hinton and volunteers worked to form a nonprofit organization, raise funds, and make their vision of a sober living home for women in Loudoun become a reality.
