Art Supply Collection for Ronald McDonald House

After learning about the importance and advantages of Art during childhood, two students in the FHS REACH class partnered to plan art activities for families staying at The Ronald McDonald House while a family member is receiving treatment at Children's Wisconsin. These activities require a variety of art materials, and materials collected through this Art Supply collection will be passed along to The Ronald McDonald House.

REACH is the Capstone course in Child Development at FHS. One component of the REACH class is an individual or partnered Capstone Project. As part of their Capstone project, students select a child development-related topic or social problem that interests them, they conduct research on the subject, maintain a portfolio or findings and then create a final product to demonstrate what they have learned as their solution to the problem.

For more information on the Art supplies needed, please read this. Supplies can be dropped at the FHS office between 7am and 3:30pm.

Seniors - Looking for Help Paying for College?

The University of Wisconsin System is embarking upon a statewide campaign to address the decline in prospective Fall 2021 student families completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is an important step in ensuring college access and affordability for our Wisconsin high school seniors.

It’s not too late to apply for financial aid and, importantly, there is money still available.

Financial aid counselors at universities all across the UW System are collaborating in this effort, and they’re willing to help you successfully complete the form. Furthermore, UW financial aid counselors will provide this assistance regardless of where a student ultimately decides to go to college. To schedule a time with one of our counselors, please visit https://uwhelp.wisconsin.edu/fin-aid/ for contact information.

Here are some additional resources that might be useful to you.

College access and affordability have never been more important, and we want to ensure that all students who wish to go to college can have that opportunity. Submitting the FAFSA can be a key step in turning a dream into reality.
