Message From the Principal
Dear Fammatre Families,
As I mentioned last week, I am putting together a Fammatre Safe Reopening FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) to help answer many of the common questions families have about returning to in person instruction. So far, only one question has been submitted. Please feel free to send in your questions here: https://forms.gle/RiSZmkufAtJBWjtS8. The question I received pertained to the HVAC and ventilation systems at Fammatre. Currently, our district facilities team is in process of having an external evaluation and analysis completed. Results and next steps will be shared out with our community once they are available.
I hope you will join me for our next Principal Coffee on Monday, October 19th from 4:30 - 5:30pm. The discussion will center around Fammatre's school site plan for reopening. Please RSVP at this link: https://forms.gle/Wn6FrDe47CM5UxcC7 by midnight on October 18th. On the morning of October 19th we will email the Zoom meeting link to everyone who has submitted an RSVP. I will post the presentation on our website after the meeting.
On another note, I am working with our Home and School Club to finalize details for the Monster Boogie Bash Trick or Treat Trail on October 24th. We will send out more information next week.
Principal
Warmly,

Giving Campaign 2020
Thank you Fammatre Falcon Families – our Giving Campaign has reached 28% of our goal! Each day we get a few more contributions and a little closer to our goal of $45,000.
The Home & School Club leadership and coordinators are very excited about what we can accomplish this year! They are busy planning fun events like the Boo Grams, they are working hard to provide at-home Project Cornerstone and Makerspace materials and they are sketching out how to ensure school pictures and Yearbooks can still happen during distance learning. All of these programs are possible with your contributions, any amount you can donate will help! Donations can also be mailed in to the Fammatre office - 2800 New Jersey Ave. (Checks made out to Fammatre H.S.C.) If you have any questions, please contact me at sjfamily4D@gmail.com.
Thank you for your support of Fammatre and all our Fammatre Falcons!

YOU CAN HELP SUPPORT CAMBRIAN STUDENTS and ENDORSE CAMBRIAN LAND DEVELOPMENT
The Cambrian School District has been in the process of assessing potential land redevelopment of District-owned properties as a new ongoing revenue stream to support our students, programs, and District. After evaluating multiple options, we identified the Metzler Elementary School at Cambrianna Drive as a promising opportunity to convert a portion of this site into an ongoing revenue stream. The proposed development matches and complements the character of the neighborhood.
The proposed housing development project for the Cambrian School district will generate ongoing revenue that will support CSD’s outstanding programs.
Please join Cambrian parents, teachers, and neighbors and click here to sign a letter of support asking the City of San Jose to approve the District’s general plan amendment application.
For more information about the Cambrian School District’s “Support Our Students” land development initiative, please check out our webpage or contact former Cambrian School
District parent Eve Walton at SOSCambrianSchoolDistrict@gmail.com. Stay informed on the Initiative, please sign up for our mailing list by clicking here.
