Links to Learning
On Friday we heard the news that we were hoping not to hear, but understand is necessary to continue to keep our community safe.
Our hearts ache with the thought that we will be closing our school year with Remote Learning. No doubt, we would have hugged each child a little bit more as we wished everyone a good spring break.
This past week we have opened up more 'Live" Circle Time visits which has been truly rewarding not only for our students but for our teachers as well.
(We also hope you and your children will enjoy our video below...)
As we move forward we will continue to work together to help provide a quality learning experience for your child throughout the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.
We are also focusing our work on end of year traditions such as how we celebrate our 5th graders as they move forward. We are also actively working on our preparations for the start of the 2020-2021 school year. More to come.
We also want you to know that if you purchased an item during the Silent Auction it is safe and sound at school. If you purchased an 'experience' with a teacher or staff member-please know we will honor those purchases during the 2020-21 school year.
As promised, we will continue to send out our Learning Links on Sunday at 3:00 to provide parents some additional 'review and prep' time for the upcoming week before your own work week begins on Monday morning.
Below you will also find new links on how to navigate through the lesson plan format as well as how to upload a picture. These are just a quick reference tool for you if needed. Thank you to Mrs. Shelton for preparing these for us to share with our Mathews community.
Please know... We will work together with you to help in any way we can. If you have any questions or need to touch base, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here for you and your children. We are here to help all our students be successful.
REMINDER: As we work together during this time our Mathews staff may reach out to visit with you or your child. As they are calling from their personal lines, when you receive a call it will show the number is blocked or a 'Private Line', much like when your doctor returns a call. Thank you for accepting these calls. Our teachers are available to respond to your emails Monday through Friday, 9:00-11:00 a.m. and again from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
With grace and trust in one another we are 'All-In' this together.
Take care of you and yours and in so doing, we take care of each other.
Part 1 in a 2 Part Series
We have so much love to share we needed two songs to celebrate how much our Mavs mean to us! Enjoy our first of two and look forward to Part 2 next Sunday.
Special thank you to Mr. Taylor who created this for our Mathews community.

PRE K REGISTRATION
From Our Superintendent
In response to Governor Abbott’s April 17 executive order announced Friday afternoon, Plano ISD schools will remain closed and will continue with remote learning through May 22, the last day of the school year, as we support the community, region and nation’s need to slow the spread of COVID-19.
We wish to express gratitude to our entire community of families, staff, volunteers and community partners for your patience and support during these uncertain times as we’ve all begun adapting to this new way of delivering and receiving instruction.
Thank you to our families for all that you are doing to support your children in their learning.
Please continue taking care of yourselves and your families during this time.
