Suwanee Express
Week of August 10th
First, big thank you for an amazing Open House. I appreciate all your hard work. There's only two more planning days until the first day of school! Remember to take one day at a time. Remember you were made for this! This mountain has been assigned to you for a reason. It was not by mistake you were put in place to care for our students. The first day of school is all about creating a moment for each of our kids to feel important. Let them get to know you and don't be afraid to make a mistake. They will love you!
I have made a couple of adjustments to the pre-planning schedule. We were planning on a staff picture social distance style, but I am going to postpone our faculty picture to be extra cautious. Stay tuned for a make-up. :) Also, at Tuesday's Faculty Meeting via Zoom, I will be outlining a time frame for training and informational sessions for our phase in face to face instructional plan. Thank you for all your support!

Schoolnet Read Aloud for Assessments
All accommodations from spring 2020 will remain in Schoolnet for the beginning of the school year.
· Since all K-2 students can have S1 assessments read to them, a file will be pulled for read aloud and loaded in Schoolnet with any K-2 students enrolled as of August 7th.
· An updated file of K-2 students will be pulled and loaded on August 21st, to capture any students who enroll between August 7 and August 20.
An Excel file will be available in School Reports listing all students who are marked in Schoolnet as having the read aloud and/or extended time accommodations by Tuesday, August 11th.
Any student not appearing on the list, but needing a read aloud and/or extended time accommodation will need to be marked by the testing coordinator, using the guide posted on the AARC called: Editing Read Aloud & Extended Time Accommodations in Schoolnet – 22.0.
