Student Drop Off
1. Students should only be dropped off curbside out front of the building. Please do not go to the staff parking lot to drop them off. This is a busy area, and we are trying to keep all Students and Staff safe.
2. For safety reasons, Please do not go behind the building in the mornings. Students are playing outside, standing on the pavement, and lining up there.
3. Students walking, or riding their bike, should not cut through the parking lots. They should stick to the sidewalks, and the crosswalks.
4. Please do not park on Prospect street, and let you student out there, to cross the road. This is again a major safety concern. They should be dropped off in the loop only.
Thank you!

News from our Guidance Counselor
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Hello! My name is Coori Sellers and I am the new School Counselor at Thomas Fleming School. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and present the schoolʼs counseling program and services available to your child.
While working towards my bachelorʼs degree in Liberal Arts, I took several introductory courses to psychology and family studies. I thought a lot about what I was passionate about, and how I could make a difference in the world. It was during this time that I made the decision to spend my life working with children and families. I earned a master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Vermont in 2013. For the last five years I have been serving students in k-8th grade schools as their School Counselor. I am very excited to be starting this new school year in Essex! I have already received a warm welcome from the Thomas Fleming School and look forward to making many more connections within the greater community.
The school counseling program is designed to promote the academic, social, and personal development of all students. I will be spending time in the classroom leading lessons, meeting with students individually and in small groups, collaborating with teachers and parents, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Thomas Fleming students and families. I am an important member of the team that works to create a positive learning environment for all students reflective of our districts core value- “Growing hearts and minds, for a better today and tomorrow: every day, every way, every one.”
Any student can request to meet with me or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, or parent. I encourage you to reach out if you have concerns or questions regarding your child. I can be reached by email at csellers@ewsd.org or by phone at (802) 857-7701.
I am excited to be here and look forward to meeting you and your children!
Sincerely,
Coori SellersBox Top Collection:
This year, we will be actively collecting Box Tops for Education! A Form will be sent home, to start at home collection, and more will be available in the office to grab. To encourage families and students to collect and bring Box Tops into school, we will be holding a school wide collection competition, and the Class that brings in the most, will be rewarded with a classroom celebration. More details in our Next Fleming Flyer addition. New this year, Box tops has announced that they are ending the paper box tops, and now have an app to scan receipts to earn money for the school. When downing loading the app from the Google store or Apple Play, you will need our school ID: 131296
