How do you use Lightboxes
Light boxes are actual books plus digital books together. They will have digital features that can check comprehension but digitally.They read to you.The books are non-fiction. The collection can help with Social studies, Science and even Reading.
How do you find an e book?
Some, you will find read to you, and some are just electronic pages that you read yourself. Some have a natural "normal" voice while others sound robotic. Some are single use and others are multi use. BUT, all are FREE!!!
How to use Teachingbooks.net
This website can assist you if are studying a specific novel and want more info. It has lesson plan ideas, the books reading level, when the book was copyrighted, if it has won awards, etc. It can help if you are studying a specific author, too!
How to use Gale database resources
es, Google can give you answers for a search, but how much work do you have to do to get exactly what your looking for? Databases are more specific and are used by serious researchers for all topic. Databases can make students lives easier.
How to use Culturegrams
This database is FANTASTIC for World Cultures or anyone doing research on foreign countries, studying the world or learning about provinces. Everything from recipes, interviews and LOTS and LOTS of facts!!!
How to use Learning Ally for Dyslexics/504 students
Learning Alley is purchased by the district for only Dyslexic and 504 students who qualify. The company has a HUGE dashboard full of audio books!!!! They offer contests from time to time to keep up reading engagement.
