Henry Clay was knows as the silver-tongued Kentuckian. Henry was a gifted speaker. He became involved with polotics at an early age of 29. He was appointed to the U.S. Senate. He was a Senator and Representative for Kentucky. Henry also became the Speaker of the House and was a prominent War Hawk. He pushed for expansion and war against Britain. Henry believed in a strong national government would promote national feeling
