Did I get the spelling right this time? :}
We are going to be finishing Wonder this week. Although the super high achieving high school kids found time in their busy schedules to fit us in, we are out of time!
Wonder has been a thought provoking read and it has been fun getting to know the students through our group discussions of the text.
This week all students will be going to Mrs. Putney's class for Social Studies. They will be doing some mapping and exploring the Alaskan land forms. Did you know that Mt. McKinley shrank (according to scientific measurements and observations)? If you can write down the amout it shrank by and put your answer in the 'friendship shell' you will get a prize. (Its a small prize, but a prize none the less!)
Picture Day is Friday, September 20. Don't Forget!
Dates To Remember
Monday, September 23, 2013 Constitution Day! The assembly is 2:10.
MEDICAL FORMS and PERMISSION SLIPS TO AGAYA ARE DUE MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23!
Paper Bag book reports begin this Friday! I can hear the collective thrill! This book report is done 100% at home on a book that the students choose themselves. They will have a whole month to work on it and it will be more exciting than football! or Basketball! or Recess! Look for that next weekend.
