LIS Tiger Talk
November 12, 2021
Principal's Message
Tiger Families,
This week and throughout the year, it is my sincere hope that each veteran feels our gratitude and appreciation for their sacrifices. As like many of you, there are veterans in my life who I am honored to know and love. My late grandfather served in WWII and my brother-in-law served as a marine in Afghanistan. To all of those who have and are serving our country, thank you and Happy Veterans Day!
It was my honor to recognize some of our Top Notch Tigers today during lunches. Congratulations to the following students: Zach Nestico, Ava Ahrens, Zach Snyder, Natalie Hooper, Andrew Bally, Charlotte Kady, Jules Lee, Griffin Joyner, Lana Zehrung, Maddie Miller, Alex Catan, Jackson Cocco, Ian Thompson, Alex Arnold and Emily Burkhardt.
Next week is the last week of our 'Pass It On' food drive. Please consider donating items to support Loveland families. There's specific information below about items assigned to each homeroom. Students will be delivering items to the food pantry on Friday morning.
5th Grade Families- Next week is Camp Kern! I am so excited for our Tiger to get outdoors and make some memories. If you have any questions, please reach out to our staff.
Lastly, thanks to the parents/guardians who attended conferences this week. We appreciate the opportunity to discuss students' academic progress, strengths, and overall school experience with you.
Go Tigers!

Mrs. Purdin Virtual Counseling Office
Starting in November, Robin Purdin and school counseling intern Haley Hansberry will be offering a series of small groups called FIT (Families in Transition) that will be available to Loveland Intermediate School students who are facing or have faced transitions in their home lives. Transitions include divorce/separation, or death of an immediate family member. Often, children in these situations believe they are the only ones experiencing the resulting changes. Small groups allow participants to realize they are not alone and that there are other students in the school navigating the very same issues.
FIT groups will be limited to 8-10 members, will meet one time a week for 6-8 weeks, and will be formed based on type of transition.
If interested, please fill out the permission form below:
