Principal's Corner
Hello Natoma Station Families,
Donuts with Grown Ups
Thank you to our PTO and Lydia Stullman for heading a successful Donuts with Grown Ups family event! What a fun way to start off the day! Check out the pictures below.
March Madness Attendance Challenge
The classes that moved forward to round 2 from last week are as follows: Ambrose, Akhter, Porter, Johnson, Hackert, Sudhakaran, Provencial, Thompson, McClure, Bower, Nielsen. Class prizes will be awarded to the top 3 classes that progress to the final round. We will also have a schoolwide celebration if our attendance for the month of March is 95% or higher. We can do this!
CAASPP Testing
This year’s testing schedule is as follows:
- Grades 3 - 5 ELA & Math Summative Assessments March 20 - March 31
- Grade 5 Science & Make-Up Summative Assessments (Grades 3-5) March 27 - March 31
When possible, please refrain from scheduling appointments and/or vacations that will require your child to be absent during this testing window.
You are an important part of your child’s education. To make sure your child feels comfortable taking tests, you can:
Explain to your child that these tests are tools to help them learn, and they should not be anxious or scared.
Explore the practice tests with your child at caaspp.org/practice-and-training/index.html so they can become familiar with the platform and setup of the tests.
Remind your child that you and their teacher want them to try their best and will help them be prepared to show how much they have learned this year.
Thank you to our generous PTO for providing healthy snacks for students on testing days!
