November 2021

Faith Moment

For the month of November we will be focusing on our Heroes of our Faith - the Saints! With November starting with All Saint's Day where we celebrate all the Catholic Saints, CKCS will be doing lots of activities to learn about and celebrate them throughout the month including Saint's Bingo!

We also will be celebrating Catholic Education Sunday on November 7th! All families are invited to join us for Mass @ 11am @ Christ-King Catholic Parish to help us celebrate our educators at CKCS! For all that they do for our students, families and community, they deserve to be recognized!

New Draft K-6 Curriculum

The Alberta Government released a new draft of Alberta Curriculum in March 2021. For those that do not know, the Curriculum documents are what are given to teachers to tell us what to teach at each grade level.

At the moment the Alberta Government is requesting feedback from all stakeholders - this includes parents!

Please click the link below and review the proposed curriculum and then fill out the survey provided to give your feedback!

Parents are a VITAL part in their child's education, so be sure to get your thoughts in on this process!

PLEASE NOTE: ECCS has decided not to pilot the draft curriculum for the 2021/2022 school year.
