Symptoms of The Disease
Leprosy primarily affects the skin and the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. It can also strike the eyes and the thin tissue lining the inside of the nose. The main symptoms of leprosy is disfiguring skin sores, lumps, or bumps. The sores are pale colored.
Risk Factors
Leprosy is is transmitted primarily through coughing and sneezing. In most cases, it is spread through long-term contact with a person who has the disease but has not been treated.
