Well Field Day is in the books and it was a blast! Welcome back to our last full week of school. We have 8 1/2 days left of this school year. Where did the time go? Lets make some great memories the next two weeks.

What We Are Doing This Week

Reading:

We will continue learning and writing about sharks this week. Text Features will be one of our main focuses. Also we will compare sharks and dolphins.


Phonics:


Lesson 111 - The Rule v/cv' with e, o and u

Lesson 112 - The Rule v/cv' with a and i

Lesson 113 - Final, Stable Syllables - cious, -tious



Writing:

Students will continue working on their assigned state. They will follow a worksheet that has them researching certain aspects of their state.


We will be studying all about compound words (ex. goldfish, rainbow) and prepositions (ex. under, behind)


Cursive: Capital Letters

Capitals -L, P, R, B
