Principal Newsletter
From the Desk of Mrs. Riley
March 14, 2019
Dear Parents,
Please join me in prayer and celebration for our 2nd grade class as they celebrate tonight the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation! They will meet the Lord who will grant them forgiveness and the grace to live a renewed life in Him. Let us all make going to confession and following God's Law of Love a priority during this Lenten season. In the words of Pope Francis, "To pray for those with whom you are angry is a beautiful step toward that law of love." If we have anger in our hearts towards someone, let us say a prayer for him or her today as a step towards healing and forgiveness.
Some important reminders:
- School is closed this Monday, March 18th. Enjoy the extended weekend!!
- LAST CALL: As the faculty and staff continue to work on our Middle States Self Study, I am looking for several parents willing to volunteer their time to work on various curriculum committees alongside our faculty and staff. Please see the link to the form below if you would be interested in serving our school in this area: Middle State Commitee - Parents
- Spring Uniforms will begin on Monday, April 15th. Please carefully review our School Handbook and Uniform Newsletter for the regulation Spring Uniform.
Thank you for your constant support and prayers for our school. I encourage you to continue to support our work as we advance our mission to provide a transformative education steeped in academics and faith to our deserving students. There is no greater investment for forming our future saints than a Catholic education!
Please carefully review this week's newsletter for many reminders and updates. We thank you for entrusting your children to us and for the sacrifices you make each day to send your child(ren) to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School.
God’s Peace,
Mrs. Barbara Riley
