Message from the Superintendent
Dear Panther Families,
Happy Memorial Day weekend! I hope you and your families have been enjoying a wonderful weekend together. As we celebrate Memorial Day tomorrow, we remember and honor those who served our Nation and gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom.
Today, I had the pleasure of attending a poignant Memorial Day ceremony at the American Legion Post 751 in Enola. Our NJROTC students participated in the ceremony, and Sgt Rainis was honored for serving as the founding instructor of our NJROTC program. The Riders of Post 751, led by President Ryan Fiscus, awarded Sgt Rainis with a very special motorcycle. In addition, East Pennsboro alumnus Logan Benoist performed Taps on trumpet. We are proud of our NJROTC students, and thank Gunnery Sergeant Robert Rainis for his leadership.
This past week, we honored our seniors at an Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 26th. Members of the Class of 2021 received awards, honors, and scholarships. On Tuesday, May 25th, Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical School students were honored with their awards ceremony. We are proud of our four students who received scholarships at this event.
We are looking forward to continuing to celebrate the 2020-2021 school year as we enter this final week of school. We are excited for our Graduation Ceremony on Friday, June 4th, and cannot wait to honor our incredible seniors.
This will be our last weekly newsletter for the 2020-2021 school year. We will communicate over the summer with periodic updates regarding the return to school for the 2021-2022 school year. We are so very proud of all of our students and the hard work and dedication they have put forth this year. We are so thankful for our amazing and dedicated teachers, support staff, and administrators who have worked to help our students succeed and do well despite the pandemic and its challenges. We hope all of our students, staff, and families have a safe and fantastic summer!
Warmest Wishes,
Donna

High School Photo Exhibit
West Creek Hills Mural
When students arrived back in school this year, they wanted to do something to remember Bree and her incredible outlook on life. Members of the fourth grade class (Bree's class), along with Mrs. Ash and Mrs. Matthews, decided to design a mural. They came up with a design that incorporated her sunny outlook on life. The sun has the words "Live like Bree" and messages of how to do so are sprinkled throughout the mural.
Over the summer, a bench with a plaque will be arriving and will be added to the entryway of West Creek Hills.
Thank you to Mrs. Ash, Mrs. Matthews, and all of the incredible fourth grade students who participated in this wonderful tribute!
