Smoking is the most preventable cause of death in the United States. For people with cancer more than 30% of the causes is from smoking.
Emphysema
Emphysema is where the alveoli in the lungs become damaged. The more of them that are damaged the harder it is for that person to breathe. Most die from suffocation.
Diabetes
Those with diabetes, smoking reduces the persons insulin and doesn't let oxygen get easily to their eyes, ears and feet.
Heart disease
When a person smokes carbon monoxide and other poisonous gases replace oxygen in the body cells. The heart has to pump harder and faster causing strain on it.

Smoking Doesn't Just Effect You
Smoking can not only hurting your body and causing diseases in yourself BUT others too. Second hand smoke affects those around you as well. Because there is no filter others are breathing in all of the chemicals that it is giving off.
