We Engage We Educate We Inspire
Dear Stallion Families,
We made it! It is hard to believe that the end of the year is upon us. Way back in August we began with Meet the Teacher night, and on Thursday we will end the year with our Success Assembly and 6th Grade Walk. The days have been filled with successes too many to name. Sonoma Ranch Elementary has had a successful year!
Your students have shown tremendous growth and achievement this year. I can assure you they have worked hard for their success. Our students leave us on Thursday after a year filled with challenges and accomplishments. I am proud of their efforts.
This week we say goodbye to a number of staff members moving on to new and exciting opportunities. We also say goodbye to one of our amazing faculty members who is retiring. After 31 years of teaching, Mary Howard is ready to enjoy retirement. Mary has been a part of the Sonoma Ranch community since 2016. She has taught 4th and 5th grade at the Ranch. It is hard to put into words the impact Mrs. Howard has made in the lives of the students and adults at Sonoma Ranch Elementary. That impact is evident every day. We are a better place for having had the opportunity to engage, to educate and to inspire alongside her. We wish Mrs. Howard, and all our staff members departing this year, all the very best!
As we head into summer I want to thank each and every one of you for your support of Sonoma Ranch Elementary. The Ranch is an amazing school with terrific students, a dedicated staff and supportive community. It has been a successful school year for everyone. Thank you all so very much for what you do for the Sonoma Ranch Elementary School community.
Remaining Days of School
There are 3.5 days left in the 2022-23 school year! This time of year is always busy as the school year comes to a close. The last day of school is Thursday, May 25th. Students dismiss at 11:55 AM on Thursday. We have a few events between now and then. I've listed them below.
May 22May 24
- Early release 1:55 PM dismissal
May 25 - Last Day.

If your student won't be returning to Sonoma Ranch next year, we would appreciate you letting us know now as we have already begun the planning process. Please contact Karen Murphy (
