The Good News - May 1, 2022

Saint John XXIII Catholic School 2021-2022

Third Sunday of Easter

The readings from this week remind us that we must boldly proclaim the Good News. In the gospel, several disciples were fishing when Jesus appeared to them. He told them where to cast their nets and they retrieved a great catch. Then Simon Peter recognized Jesus. He could not contain his excitement and jumped into the water to go and meet his Lord.

It's an important reminder to see Jesus in every day and to respond with joy and enthusiasm to his divine presence in our lives.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Let's celebrate our amazing teachers for the incredible job that they do with our children every day. Small gestures like an email of thanks or a homemade card would really brighten their day and show them how much they are loved and appreciated.

Bus Driver Appreciation Day, Monday May 2nd!

In celebration of Bus Driver Appreciation Day!

THANK YOU for your dedication in ensuring the safe transportation of our students.

Every day our bus operators safely steer 1000s of students to and from school. School bus drivers are tasked with one of the most important responsibilities in education - safely transporting our children to and from school.

School Bus Driver Appreciation Day is a well-deserved salute in the direction of all those men and women who dedicate their lives to helping children get to and from school safely every day, while staying patient, helpful and positive all throughout.

Let's thank them for going the distance and celebrate their commitment to student learning. Text or call your operator on Monday May 4th to thank them for what they do!
