NOTE FROM MRS. LOGAN
On the first day of school we came together as Team Holling in our Reach UP and Grab Your Greatness T-Shirts! The day was filled with drumming, cheers, and deep emotions of excitement and anticipation for the school year to come! Never, did we know on that day what the year would bring.
We spent the first three quarters Reaching Up. Students came to school every day met by teachers who were committed to moving each individual child to their next level of greatness. We saw the positive impacts of this work as we analyzed and celebrated our Fall to Winter Growth Data. Students grew as mathematicians, readers, writers, friends, and in their own social and emotional well-being.
As we wrapped up third quarter the challenges of the pandemic came our way. It redefined for all of us what teaching and learning looks like. While these shifts have been less then desirable, so many amazing things have been discovered in the last two months. Holling REACHED UP to heights that we never knew were imaginable. Parents, we can not even begin to capture your amazingness at this time. You have taken on the role of primary educator by learning new technology and ensuring your child's learning continued. This was no easy parenting challenge, you took it on and boy did you thrive. Student self initiative and empowerment was strengthened. Student confidence and pride grew as they found success in this challenging and novel world of learning.
As we reflect on the year many things took a different route than what we all envisioned that first day of school. However, the challenge of Reaching Up remained. It is a school year, like no other, to celebrate reaching up and grabbing greatness!
Share Your Talents Hawks!

Millard Public Schools Elementary Grading Procedures for 4th Quarter
2020 Bond Information
On May 12th, 2020 Millard Public Schools is asking voters to consider a bond to address district repairs and maintenance. The average age of Millard’s schools is 38 years old. All together, the district’s buildings are valued at an estimated $700 million dollars. To protect the community’s ongoing investment, the district is asking for a $125 million dollar bond. This would raise the levy approximately one cent. A cent of additional levy would cost an estimated $20 per year on a $200,000 home. The funds would support projects in six areas: safety and security, major renovations, capital equipment replacements, energy efficiency projects, summer maintenance projects and furniture replacements. All 35 schools will be impacted by the bond. Holling Heights will receive around 1.5 million dollars from the bond to support building renovations.
