Art Show and Sound Gallery: 5:15pm
Learning Center A Performance: 6:00pm
It’s that time of year again!
This year, Washington students have studied several Pop Art artists from the 1960s and have created original designs inspired by those artists’ works. Our local artists drew inspiration from the works of Andy Warhol, Jim Dine, Robert Rauschenberg, Wayne Thiebaud, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Indiana.
You can take a sneak peek of your child’s artwork by visiting www.Artsonia.com and logging in. If you haven’t registered, just email Mr. Dale at hdale@k12k.com.
The art teacher, Mr. Dale, and the music teacher, Mr. Hefner, have joined together to make this event more immersive by creating an audio component. We invite you to bring your own headphones or earbuds and sample original music by our 4th and 5th graders in our sound gallery. Students used the artwork of these famous artists as inspiration to create original auditory masterpieces. You won’t want to miss it.
Learning Center A will also be performing that evening at 6:00pm in the auditorium with their production of “Watch our Garden Groove”. The Dobyns-Bennett agriculture club will also be here to showcase their knowledge and talents in connection with our young performers.
We hope to see you there!

We will be contacting some of you to inform you of your child's attendance percentage. As we work to reduce the percentages of absenteeism, your child may be asked to participate in a morning club, be part of a secret pal program, or you as a parent may even be entered into a drawing should you reduce the percentage of absences for your child. More info to come! We have already had 8 families to reduce their percentage of absences over the last nine weeks! WAY TO GO!
