Dual Credit UPDATE!!!!
Students NEW to Dual Credit, the date has been extended for applications to be completed by APRIL 16th. You must begin the process now in order to meet the deadline. It takes a few weeks for the Apply Texas application to process before the next steps in enrollment can be completed. Update from College Board:
The AP Exam schedule for remote testing has been posted on College Board’s webpage. Please visit this page to view exam dates and times and descriptions of what you’ll be asked to do on your exam. Also available is information regarding exam features and timing, exam scoring, and exam security.
New Secondary Grading Guidelines
Midlothian ISD will continue to design and provide quality instruction for students. We understand this shift to remote learning has impacted instructional integrity, and we understand that students have varying levels of support and instructional resources at home. Our goal is to support academic growth through engaging students in quality learning experiences. The new secondary Grading Guidelines can be viewed on our At-Home Learning website here.

During this time, Princeton Review has provided students and families more than 60 videos addressing college admissions and test preparation for college entrance exams. The Princeton Review is a great resource as students begin to transition to college. The video topics include:

Social Emotional Needs
While we prioritize continued academic learning, we also recognize students need emotional support in the coming days and weeks. If your child is, or knows a friend who needs help you can report it anonymously on the District Crisis Link - Please use this as a way to report the following: bullying, personal safety, (If you think this person is in immediate danger please call 9-1-1 immediately), threats against others, or harassment or inappropriate behavior from a staff member/teacher

Parent & Student Support Hotline
To continue providing at-home support for your student’s instructional needs, technology support or for other questions, please call the MISD parent support hotline at 469-300-4849. Our staff is available from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. If the district is experiencing high call volume or its after hours, please leave a voicemail and your call will be answered as quickly as possible. For calls that occur after hours or on the weekend, calls will be returned the following business day.

- Google Hangouts
Join in when you can. Even if it is just for a few minutes. The hangouts are not only an opportunity to connect with your teachers and peers, it is also an excellent time to ask questions. When you need help or clarification about an assignment, join the hangout. That question will often help your peers as well.

- Hilco Electric - 4/13 Mailed to address on application (make sure you have time to mail it there before deadline of 4/13)
If you need information from the school for a scholarship application:
- Save the application as a pdf or doc on your Google Drive
- Fill out your portion of the application
- Share the application with Mrs. Oliver (becky_oliver@misd.gs)
- When she completes her portion, she will email you
- Submit your application to the appropriate place
You should check the actual applications now since I have changed several to "online"!!!!
