"Overview of the Social Studies Framework" (Presented by J’aimé Pfeiffer)
J’aimé will be presenting information on the Social Studies Framework to better help you work with teachers as they grapple with moving from a "content-driven" curriculum to an "inquiry-driven" curriculum. An email will go out to all Liaisons with links to the Framework, and instructions on what to bring for the "hands-on" portion of the PD.
Afternoon PD Session
"Readers Be Advised" (Presented by Alicia Abdul, Albany High School)
The goal of the workshop is to share out and listen to successful stories of the integration of books within a school’s culture and its community from engagement to finances. There will be opportunities to create your own action plan, share titles, and receive a resource guide on ways to stay current in this domain.
