HABITATE
The kiwi has a very broad habitate although its main habitate the forest is disappearing due to deforestation. It's habitats are forests, scrub, sand dunes, snowy tussocks, and mangroves.
COLOR PATTERNS
MALE
Only the male incubates the eggs. The males are smaller than the females and weigh in at 2.2 kg.
FEMALE
The females are bigger than the males and weigh in at 2.8 kg. Lays the biggest egg in proportion to the body. Lays in cluches of two and can lay up to 100 eggs in there life time.
CHICK
There are usually two chicks in a cluch although three in not uncommon but one is rare.
FUN FACTS
The kiwi bird is flightless. The bird does not have anything to do the the kiwi fruit. They are Native to New Zeland and can run as fast as a human. Kiwis are endangered and the number 1 threat is deforestation along with dogs.
ADAPTATIONS
The kiwis long beach helps it eat a variety of bugs and berrys. There shard claws help,them dig in the dirt and create tunnels in witch they live in.
