The Safety Campaign
Keeping Our School Community a Safe Community
Join the Campaign!
Fenton Area Public Schools (FAPS), with the help from the Fenton Education Foundation, local First Responders, Community Leaders, and local Parent Organizations is kicking off the Safety Campaign to raise $30,000 to place Night Lock Lockdown devices in classrooms at the Ellen Street Campus (Early Childhood), AGS Middle School, and Fenton High School.
The Safety Campaign will ensure we have the Night Lock Lockdown devices, used to quickly create safe places for our students and staff, in every FAPS building. All three of our elementary buildings have Night Lock devices, thanks to our PTO's, and we are now looking to equip Ellen Street/WOW, AGS Middle School and Fenton High School with the Night Lock Lockdown devices to better secure our rooms when needed.
We invite you to help us maintain a safe learning environment within our schools and donate to the Safety Campaign.
We have had many staff, families, current and former students, community members and businesses ask, how can we help?
This is a great way to join hands and make sure our classrooms are as secure as possible to maintain the safe learning environment our students have grown to know.
Join the campaign today!
Sincerely,
Dr. Adam Hartley
FAPS Superintendent
"From a Law Enforcement perspective, I feel that a secondary locking device that combines ease of use and rapid deployment is essential in securing the safety of students and staff in the event of an active shooter situation."
