Google Slides
If you use Google Slides, Google's version of PowerPoint, then you will want to know about some of the additions Google has made to increase the versatility of this tool. Check it out!
Google Keep
You can drag-and-drop any note from Google Keep into your Google Slides Presentation.
From the Menu bar:
- Tools
- Keep notepad
Use Linked Slides
Do you have a slide that you want to use in multiple presentations, but when you update one, you want all of the duplicate slides to update too? Now you can!
Open a Google Slides Presentation:
- Copy a Slide from one presentation
- Edit--> Paste Slide (into other presentation)
- Click Link Slides
Add-ons
There are now Add-ons for Google Slides. Right now there are just a half-dozen or so, but over time that number is sure to increase.
From the Menu bar:
- Add-ons
- Get Add-ons
Additionally
- Insert Diagrams, or ready-to-use visualizations. This is great for when you need to effectively share timelines, processes or hierarchies.
- Select Grid view to view all your slides at once as thumbnails. This helps you easily reorder or change formats of multiple slides.
- Tailor presentations to different audiences with the Skip slide feature. You can now choose to skip select slides without fully deleting then when you present from your phone or laptop.
