February Edition

Desmos is an online graphing calculator that allows you to plot functions, create tables, animate graphs and more- all for free! This tool is available for use on computers or as an app on mobile devices. Desmos offers a teachers section that allows you to view different projects as well as ideas on how to use in class. Each lesson has: What we Had in Mind, Goals, About, Student Experience and a Teacher Experience section. Intended for grades 6-12. Encourages critical thinking. Great for visual thinkers.

Did you Know...

Students can create accounts within our EBSCO OneSearch database. This allows them to save research articles, set up alerts and share folders with collaborators or their teacher. Students usually have two ways to view an article- one in plain HTML and the other as a colorful PDF. Both allow students to copy and paste the citation and the HTML version lets students write notes about the article. Want to know more? Schedule a class to review resources. Encourage your students to take advantage of all the great resources we have available! (and don't forget books in research)
