Camp David Accords
MARYLIN DELEON, ALEXA TREVINO, MONICA BARAHONA
Framework for PEACE!
Two agreements signed on September 17, 1978 between Egypt's President, Anwar Sadat, Israel's Prime Minister, Menachem Begin, and the US President, Jimmy Carter, as a witness. These agreements led a treaty peace of these two countries. The First - "Framework for Peace in the Middle East" - found the UN's Security Council's Resolutions 242 and 338 to be the legal basis for peace. The second one- "The Framework for the conclusion of a Peace Treaty between Israel and Egypt", was based on complete withdrawal of Israel from the Sinai Peninsula.
