Reminder
Yearbooks for Sale - Last day to buy is February 16th!
Yearbooks are on sale and can be ordered through February 16 at https://goo.gl/QGzrCr for $20. When yearbooks arrive at the end of the school year, we will NOT have extras. Don’t miss your chance to order your child a yearbook with all the greatest memories of the year… Mrs. Young and Mrs. Sibley’s bubble suit showdown, Smith Stampede, Celebrate Smith, field trips, class parties, and much, much more!
Dismissal Reminders
- If you are walking to pick up your child, please remember no pets are allowed on campus.
- Pull as far up as possible in the car line so we can keep the line moving. The teachers will make sure your child gets to your car.
- Cross the road in designated crosswalks.
- Place your child's name sign in the window. If you need another sign, please let your child's homeroom teacher know.

Cold Weather and Recess
We will go out for recess if the temperature/wind chill is ABOVE 37 degrees.
If the temperature/wind chill is BETWEEN 32 and 37 degrees, we will go outside for half of recess.
We will have indoor recess if the temperature/wind chill is BELOW 32 degrees.
Teachers check the temperature/wind chill shortly before recess time (12:30 pm).

Social and Emotional Learning at Smith
January is a great month to pause and reflect on goals we have met and goals we still need to work on. This lesson will help student use the WOOP acronym to set some short term goals.
W-Wish- what is a wish you have for yourself, something you can work towards.
O- Outcome-What would it look like if your wish came true?
O-Obstacle-What is something inside you that is keeping you from your wish(goal)
P-Plan-Make an If/Then plan. If _____________ happens, then I will_________________________.
