A Message from Dr. Taylor
Today marks the final day of the first semester and the halfway point of the 2018-19 school year. It has been a whirlwind, and it's hard to believe winter break is here.
You may already be aware that this will be my final semester as Superintendent of LCSC. I plan to retire in June 2019. After 42 years in education, 23 at LCSC and 13 as Superintendent, I cannot think of a better group of students, families, staff, and community to serve as I close out this chapter in my life.
As we look forward to our second semester calendar, there are several important dates to remember:
- Students return to school on Tuesday, January 8, 2019
- There is no school on January 21, 2019 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- There is no school on February 18, 2019 in observance of Presidents Day
I wish you and your family a safe and happy break, and look forward to another wonderful semester in January.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Sincerely,
Dr. Robert L. Taylor
