CIS Weekly Updates
2022-2023 #5 September 19-23
PRINCIPAL MESSAGE
This past Friday students had the opportunity to tell us what CIS ROCKS! stands for while they ate lunch. Our students did a great job and earned a prize for their efforts. Building students' confidence and independence is a major focus this school year. Students are already showing growth in both of those areas!
We have many students who don't have headphones at school. It is important for each student to have a pair for their computer because they use them in many classes. If for some reason you are unable to purchase them then please let us know and we will see how we can help.
Student Council has there first meeting on Thursday, September 22 from 3:30-4:00pm in room 309 (Ms. Martin). If your child is a part of Student Council then please plan to pick up at 4:00pm.
As a reminder, we have NO SCHOOL on Friday, September 23rd due to staff professional development.
Have a WONDERFUL week!

COVID-19 & ILLNESS AT CIS
ODH recommends schools follow general isolation procedures from the CDC for confirmed cases. If students or staff feel sick or suspect they might have COVID-19, they should stay home and take a rapid test. If positive, students and staff should stay home from school for at least 5 days and longer if necessary until fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication) and symptoms are improving. Additionally, after isolation ends, students and staff should continue to take precautions as they resume normal activities by wearing a mask for 5 days (or after two negative tests 48 hours apart).
