Grade 6 Information
Sixth graders took part in a Guidance lesson this week about study skills and organization. They received a workbook called On Your Way To Great Grades which provides great tips from time management to maintaining good attendance. Students completed some of the workbook in class and were able to take it home with them to further complete or use as a resource.
Grade 7 Information
With Spring approaching, many students become more involved in activities outside of school. Be sure to manage time so grades are not affected. Click here for some helpful hints.
Guidance lessons will continue this month!
Grade 8 Information
Good To Know Information
Requesting a Course Level Change
For any 8th-grade parent/guardian that is looking for override requests on recommendations, the appropriate paperwork is in the school counseling department. It is strongly encouraged to have a conversation with your student's teacher before beginning this process. The process does take a few weeks, so in the interim please complete registration with what was originally recommended for your student. Changes can be made to schedules until school begins.
Scholarship Opportunity
If your 8th grade student is planning to attend an area Catholic High School, please check out the The Donald O'Byrne Catholic High School Scholarship. More information on this scholarship is in the School Counseling Department.
