If you are new to Texas History or need to brush up your skills, this content-driven, Texas History immersion will prepare you for a full year of teaching our state history and geography. You will start the school year prepared with lessons, books, visuals, materials and the confidence to teach a new subject.
Austin ISD is joining forces with the Bullock Texas State History Museum and The Texas General Land Office to offer a fun and eventful learning experience especially developed for teachers new to 4th and 7th Grade Texas History. Participants will meet at the Bullock Texas State History Museum for this two day training. Parking at the Bullock Museum will be free for participants in the workshop. Laptops or other devices are not necessary. Lunch is on your own in the Cafe at the museum. There is no cost for this professional development, and there will be a follow-up session at the museum on November 4.
