Solar System Vacation
Plan your next "vacation" anywhere in the solar system and get away from it all! Our "travel agents" help you choose a far away destination and plan a getaway that is out of this world! Tourists who complete the stations and get their passport stamped, earn an amazing prize. Gaze at a short planetarium program to preview potential “vacations” and discover shorter options to the moon, learn about rockets propulsion and stability, plan your route using a 3D model of the planets, get a grip on interplanetary distances with a scale model of the solar system, use robots to collect souvenirs samples and MUCH MORE! Content best suited for children grades 2-5, but all ages welcome. Hosted by MSCR, the MMSD Planetarium, and the Memorial High School Astronomy and Robotics clubs.
