What is this giant cube you speak of?
- La Grande Arche de la Défense is a giant hollow cube located on L'Axe Historique.
- The concrete structure is 361 feet high and 348 feet wide.
- The sides are both 19 meters wide, and hold offices and conference rooms.
Why?
- Built out of design competition set by President François Mitterrand
- Danish Architect Johan Otto von Spreckelsen and Danish Engineer Erik Reitzel won.
- Formed so it has a secondary line with La Tour Eiffel et
- The project set by the French President also included the completion of La Louvre and the New Opera house.
Location, location, location!
- La Grande Arche is built on L'Axe Historique.
- It is a big line worth of monumental buildings. It Starts with Le Louvre in Central Paris, goes through the Arc de Triomphe on The Champs-Elysées, continues through thingys, has some weird bend on La Seine River, et finally, ends with La Grande Arche.

Somewhat Fun Facts.
- 25 years later, La Grande Arche was crumbling.
- At the end of this year, the top of the roof will be opened again.
- 288 million dollars to renovate
- (sike actually its like 209 million now but oops the euro tanked, so 288 million sounded cooler.)
