Food Drive

By: Abbey and Amelia

Cardinals do food drives. When we do food drives we usually bring oatmeal, macaroni, applesauce and fruit snacks. And we usually have two tubs to fill with food. We also have pet drives. When we have we donate pet supplies like harnesses, kibble, cat, liter, beds, water, cages, treats and medicine. When we do food drives homeless and the poor people. They are about the pet food and the humans. The food we donate is for free.

Classroom Community Night

By: Emma and Charlotte

Classroom community night was a special night for you and your family. You do fun things with your family and friends. Your parents get to learn about what you do in school. You do fun activities with your friends from class. Your parents get to see your locker. Your family gets to go to see your classroom. Your family gets to explore your classroom too. Each classroom did something special with hopes and dreams for the students.

NWEA helps us find our levels in learning. It helps teachers to

know what to teach us next. We take NWEA 3 times at TCE. TCE uses it to track our learning.

Parents, we take it at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the school year.

We have finished our starting NWEA and you should have received

your child’s score. Wish your child/children good luck on their next NWEA test. We know they will do their best!

Thank you for read TCE Newsletter by the Newsletter Club!

Lunch and Recess

By: Georgia and Harper

We are writing about early release. It is where get a chance to go outside and get more recess. This year if we are done eating our lunch we can go outside with a different teacher to get a few more minutes of recess. Sometime after we eat the cafeteria would get really loud. This is because when we are finished eating kids want to talk and have fun. Now, instead we get to go outside. I know what you are thinking, what if we don't have time to eat, well don't worry if we aren't finished eating the kids stay because they want to finish their lunch. Once they have finished their lunch they meet us outside. We have loved having early release to recess.

The Fall Festival was GREAT!

By: Dhanya Venugopal

TCE Cardinals,

There was a fall festival coming up in Thorpe Creek!

This year is was on Friday September 16th. It was super fun. If you didn't make it to the festival, you should try and create one at home! You can make a banner and have some fun games! You have to be creative. It’s fun anyways but there’s always next year! In the fall festival there

was lots of fun stuff like air brush paint booth ,balloon artists, games, crafts, photo booths, wacky hair, trackless train, inflatables, and of course yummy food and drinks. A big shout out to the PTO and the volunteers for working hard and putting this together.!
