NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

Lunch Distribution for Independent Learning Day

We are in the process of modifying how the free lunches will be distributed at the end of the day for those students that will be independently learning the following day. Beginning next week lunches will be placed on tables at the doors where students exit the building at the end of the day. Students may select a lunch on their way out the door. If you have opted-out of this service, please communicate this to your child so they know not to take one. Finally, quantities are limited, and we want to ensure that those families in need are receiving this service, so please reach out to Associate Principal, Renee Carlson (renee.carlson@moundsviewschools.org), if you are food insecure.

Bus Passes Remain in Backpacks All Year

Blended Learning students who are registered to ride the bus need to keep their passes in their backpacks all year in case they are asked to show them at some point. This is essential in avoiding confusion and mix-ups at the end of the day, especially when drivers do not know your child or students are not sure of their bus number. Thank you for your help.

PTA News

PTA Membership

Please consider becoming a member of the PTA. Membership allows you voting rights in meetings where a vote is required (i.e. financial or leadership decisions). All families and caregivers are welcome to attend PTA meetings regardless of membership. Last year we moved membership to an online system: click here to become a member.

AmazonSmile

Start your Amazon search with Smile.amazon and a portion of your purchase will be donated to the PTA.

Box Tops

Most Box Tops are now digital! However some companies still have labels to cut. Please send them in your child's folder or drop them off at the front desk.

Student Directory Opt-Out Form

Each year the PTA creates an online directory for Turtle Lake families. Please fill out this form if you do NOT wish to be included in the directory: TL Directory Opt-Out.

MN Department of Health COVID-19 Attendance Guide and Home Screening Tool for Parents and Families:

Staying home when you are sick is one of our best ways to fight COVID-19. Keeping sick children and children who are exposed to COVID-19 away from others helps stop the spread of the virus to other children, staff, and the surrounding community. Parents and guardians can refer to this COVID-19 Attendance Guide for Parents and Families to understand when their child can attend school, youth programs, and child care during COVID-19. Please monitor your child/children for signs and symptoms of illness each time you are going to send them to school, child care, or youth programs by using this Home Screening Tool. If you answer “yes” to any question, your child should stay home.

Thank you for your collaboration in keeping our school and community healthy!
