Digital Citizenship Definition

Digital Citizenship is what you do and how you act online.

Ex. Posting statuses about someone on Facebook.

Internet Safety #1

On the internet, there are dangers such as
  • Cyberbullying
  • Exposure to inappropriate material
  • Online predators
  • Revealing too much personal information
We can avoid these problems by
  • Telling a parent/guardian if one of those things happens
  • Deleting any inappropriate, cyberbullying, or rude messages.

Don't give out any personal information.

Don't tell anyone your passwords.

Get parent/guardian permission before posting photos.

Nearly 43% of kids have been bullied online. 1 in 4 has had it happen more than once.

Positive Digital Presence

Importance- It's important to have a positive digital presence so you don't become a cyberbully and you're not hurting people's feelings.

Ex. When posting online, only post positive things about people.
