Thank You for Supporting Tustumena PTO!
Fred Meyer Donations to Tustumena PTO were over $215.00 just from January through March 2019. Right now 32 households are currently enrolled. Can you imagine what the donation would be if all our families were enrolled??? There is no cost to you and you even still get all your regular Fred Meyer rewards. You can enroll by clicking the button below or by following this link. Thank you to all the families that are supporting our PTO. Because of your support, through this program and all our events, we are able to have field trips, annual Easter egg hunt, Fall Carnival, and many other activities we may not otherwise have. We appreciate you!
This Thursday is the Kindergarten Visitation. If you have an incoming Kindergarten Student in the fall, please be sure to come register that student in the office this week so they can come to Kindergarten Round-Up on Thursday.
As there are many events coming up which parents and family may want to attend, please remember a few things regarding visitors at school. ALL visitors MUST sign in at the office, including those coming for events, class parties, field trips or any other purpose. Also, if you plan to visit or volunteer at the school during the school day for ANY purpose, you need to be an “approved volunteer”, even if you are coming to a classroom party or event. This is KPBSD policy and the process may take 1-3 weeks, so I encourage you to apply now if you haven’t yet and you wish to attend any events this year.
2018-2019 Yearbook ordering is still open, so if you haven't ordered your yearbook and would like one, please turn in your order form and payment by May 1st to the school office. Order forms have been sent home and are also available at the office.
We will be having an end of the year BBQ for lunch on the last day of school. Student Nutrition staff's last day of work and meal service will be 5/21/19 and will not serve meals on the last day of school (May 22nd). If you do not want your child to participate in the BBQ, you may provide a lunch from home or order a sack lunch from Student Nutrition Services. Students must have money on their meal accounts or be determined as a free student as there will be no cash accepted and no charges allowed the last day of school. Sack lunch orders must be made by May 1st, 2019 and may be made through the school office by sending a note. Sack lunch will contain, with no substitutions made, a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, Applesauce Cup, Bagged Dried Fruit, String Cheese, Vegetable drink, Milk. If ordered, a meal charge will be applied to the students account on May 22 by Student Nutrition office staff, even if not eaten.
We are doing our District testing from April 30-May 5, so we appreciate you being mindful of attendance and having kids here on time in the morning to minimize the number of make-up tests that need to be completed.
News from PTO:
We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who donated candy for the Community Easter Egg Hunt. There were lots of smiles and everyone had a wonderful time!
Please keep saving and sending in your Box Tops. Every class that collects a total of 300 Box Tops will earn a popcorn party on May 8th.
