Support the Golf Team!
What better way to put the wintertime blues behind you than to come out and support the WH Varsity Golf Team, as they’ll once again be hosting their annual Panther Trivia Night on Friday, March 22th at the Meadow Brook Restaurant. All proceeds will go directly to the team to help offset the cost of equipment and activities. You can make a team of 8-10 players to compete for prizes and above all, bragging rights. We’re hoping to start the event at 7:00 PM (doors will open at 6:30); the show is once again 21+ with more raffles, auctions, and hopefully many more laughs!
Tickets are only $15 a person! Tables are already filling up, so it’s first come, first serve – we hope you can come out to join us and support the team for what promises to be a fun night out!
Dr. Christopher Jones
Fake It Until You Make It!
This isn't about not being authentic. It's about how the impostor syndrome negatively affects both our confidence and confidence.
If we make sure that we are competing against ourselves rather than attempting to measure up to someone else, our confidence increases and let's our competence shine through; both actions leading us to greater success.
I talk more about it in the video below. Check it out...

Online Pen Pals!
Ms. Reagan's Spanish 1 students have started an online pen pal exchange with a school in Mallorca, Spain! They have been paired up with students from the school who will be writing to them in English and our students will be responding in Spanish. They are using using a cool website called ePals that can be used for teaching any subject. What a great chance to introduce our students to other cultures while learning another language by practicing proficiency!
French Honor Society - Ms. Kelly Tanis
On Friday, February 15, members of the French Honor Society visited the Fairingway Retirement/Nursing Home in Weymouth. Students threw a Valentine's Day party for the residents, which included games, such as trivia, name that love song, puzzles, and lots of interesting conversation! This is the fourth year that the FHS has visited a local nursing home. The residents and director are always very appreciative and our students take pride in bringing joy to others.
Statistics - Ms. Martino and Mr. McHugh
Ms. Martino and Mr McHugh's stats classes have been working on a project this week where students have to create a game and then calculate the probability of winning. This project is designed to link what students are learning about in math class (probability) with something in real life (carnival games). Each class will eventually have a "game day" where they play each other's games and students have to think about how they might calculate the probability of winning. Check out the short video below!
